McKinney, Texas | Project Front Porch
There’s something special about finding a place that makes you want to tell someone else about it.
And I know a place.
Hamm’s Meat Market McKinney is one of those wonderful discoveries. Known as Hamm’s Meat + Market, this historic butcher shop has been part of downtown McKinney since 1954.
I stopped in during a visit to McKinney, and I can tell you, this place is worth discovering.
It wasn’t just one thing that made an impression. It was the whole experience.
There’s something wonderful about a business that embraces its history while continuing to give people a reason to walk through its doors. Hamm’s has that kind of character.
And that’s one of my favorite things about exploring North Texas. Every community has places that help tell its story. Sometimes they’re tucked away on a side street. Sometimes they’re right on the town square. And sometimes they’ve been there for generations.
Hamm’s is one of those places.
So the next time you find yourself wandering around downtown McKinney, make a little time to stop in.
You’ll be glad you did.
Real places. Real people. Beautifully seen.
Check them out on Facebook.
